your level of infrastructure will change some things,
lets take a look at what the options are,
there are farmers with combine harvesters that cost a huge amount to buy and to run,
and there are farmers that only have hand tools that really don't need replaced very often at all,
the 2 are at the opposite end of the spectrum,
the real question is what one works the best,
with hand tools you don't have breakdowns,
and you don't have to pay staff to do nothing while you go fix your complex hardware, and you are going to need staff for that sort of operation to work.
there just seem to be to many farmers that don't even make money each year,
and it is sometimes due to them having hardware failure
some years it is because they had to buy the fancy hardware,
and sometimes it was because fuel was so pricey that year,
my point is to think about how much you invest in your hardware
there is almost always a way to do things with no money or fancy hardware,
my personal choice was slightly more than just hand tools,
but not quite low enough to just use sticks and things I find in nature
the real goal is to make sure that you are farming for yourself and not just to support your hardware.
