watering can be a challenge
there are sprinklers (shut off valve on end of hose so I can change the end without going back to the faucet to turn it off, very handy)
fun spinny kinds
clicky kind
spray nozzles
there are spray nozzles that have a hose fitting on the end
I have attached a diffuser at the end so I can water and not mess up the ground
but they work fine on there own and even have a shutoff valve of there own.
there are nozzles that try to do everything with a selector on the front, and they tend to work well most of the time.
be careful on some of the fancy ones as they can have low flow rates,
don't forget about distribution blocks and using irrigation line for hose sections that don't get moved around ever,
each has it's own advantages, so I suggest getting one of each kind so you have extras and so you can use the right one in the right spot,
but what you will not see in any of the watering things I have is fancy sprinklers with gears,
and soaker hoses, and drip systems with regulated ends,
and the reason is that there is so much iron sulphide in the water and it will clog anything small at all.
and the self cleaning "no clog" things will clog fast.
so keep in mind the water you have and what you need to do with it to not have everything break in the first month.
with all that said, I would sure like an automatic watering system and some are possible here,
but if one of them breaks you can loose everything
and you need to be out there with your plants checking everything anyway,
you can often stop gofers or birds or insects from doing to much damage if you are looking all the time,
so I end up just hand watering it all.
now time to go find some wild food out there.
