sorghum planning

so the sorghum is still not finished growing,
it is so very long season kind,

here is the seed listing for the kind I am growing,
http://www.rareseeds.com/shallu/egyptian-wheat/

the web page does not list how long of a season it needs,
I planted it in early spring...
so I clearly need another kind with a shorter season,

I have about 12 kinds of it,
here is one that looks good that I should have,
http://www.rareseeds.com/tarahumara-popping-sorghum/
and is only 100 to 120 days,
that is way better than the current one I am growing at more than 180 days.

I think I also have this one as well (I will have to check my seed lists to be sure of what I have)
http://sustainableseedco.com/heirloom-grain-seed/sorghum-seed/mennonite-sorghum-seed.html
and it looks very good as well, (did I give a link to this seed company a few days ago ?, if not I should have)

I think I will do separate plots of all the ones I have next year in order to trial them, and plant a bigger plot of the one I think should do well here,
I should have done that last summer...
but I did plant the one that did well here before, I guess it is just not a very reliable type...

there are some really short season ones out there, and the shorter the growing season, the less output they have,
so the trick is to get the longest season one that you can get with out having an early frost ruin things,
