rare event

so I have the I'itoi's onions growing,

and they are bunching onions,
usually they never go to seed,
so they are all genetic clones of each other and have been for hundreds of years, 
but I have one that got messed with to much, and it must be worried,
it is going to seed,

what is really neat about this is that each seed will not be quite like the original,
so I will be getting new onions that are close but not quite the same,
it is a fun and rare event that I was not expecting
